The H.P. Lovecraft Historical Society has a trailer up for The Whisperer in Darkness, which is still in the process of being finished. [This is the same group responsible for the superb The Call of Cthulhu silent film.]

"And He shall put on the semblance of men...."

So...that seems pretty cool. I love the camera angles and the "old" feel to it. Unfortunately, since I'm a loser and still haven't read any Lovecraft I didn't really "get it." I've often asked Otty where I should start in my pursuit of Lovecraftian knowledge but he hasn't been able to guide me. So...your opinion? Where should I delve in?

LOL!! I definitely won't tell him! I think he would be highly disappointed! How did these boys marry girls like us? What were they thinking???

Oh, the first short story you should read is definitely "The Call of Cthulhu", that is a good starter for Lovecraftian lore, and a highly entertaining story in its own right.

Otty should have a copy of The Best of H. P. Lovecraft: Bloodcurdling Tales of Horror and the Macabre, (see link for a picture of the cover) and that volume should contain "The Call of Cthulhu".

If you cannot easily find the book, (or if he brought it with him overseas?) then I can send you a link to the story online. Just let me know. :)

Okay. I know I've seen that cover but I don't know if I've seen it on the actual book or because we have that artwork on the wall in our library. Either way, that book is not on our bookshelf. A link to the story would be awesome and now I have to find out if he took that with him or if we don't own it because we will have to...Thanks!

There is another site I have bookmarked that has his complete works online, but I think I have it bookmarked on a different machine. I will look that up for you later.
