Haha, Jeff obviously lived with me for too long -- he understands my mad ramblings!
;)
For those who share my birthday I was simply punning walpurgisnacht with 'walpurgis-naut' since we came sailing into the world on this holiday -- you know, in the same sense as words like Argonaut, astronaut, or psychonaut. (Chances are if you do not recognize the word, I probably just coined it--the conceit of the poet.)
As far as the rest-- Walpurgisnacht is the night of April 30 or May 1st, and is the Germanic/Norse spring holiday that corresponds to May Day (English), Beltane (Gaelic), & Discoflux (Discordian), that falls exactly 6 months opposite Halloween. In Goethe's Faust, Walpurgisnacht plays a pivotal role in the story, which is why Luis Faléro did several paintings specifically of that scene.
Thanks Maranda! :)
Got your package yesterday, thank you very much! Perfect choice of a book.

Wow, nine years, that is pretty crazy to think about!
